Footyball (2v2)
Once assembled – Place nets 8-15 feet apart (depending on skill/immediate results)
Instructions: – Each team will station 1 player at each net –
Players will take turns trying to flick or chip the ball into the net opposite them where their partner is positioned
From behind or the side of the net, their partner will attempt to get a touch on the ball to redirect it in, or may let it go if it appears to be headed into net.
You can play to 11 or 21. You must win by 2 and must land exactly on 11 or 21 to win or go back to 7/17 points if you go over. Team 2 always gets rebuttals when win or tie is still possible.
How to score:
Direct flick – 3 points
Header into the net – 2 points
Touches w/ foot or body – 1 point
Kicking Order:
Team 1 (decide on who that is) will go first à followed by Team 2 on that same side. Continue this same order on the opposite side as ball goes back and forth until there’s a winner
Footy Taps (2v2)

Direct shot – 3 points
Headers – 2 points
Redirects off feet or body – 1 point

Footy Horse (2v2)
– *this gameplay is mirrored off of traditional “horse” in basketball
Players will set up nets 8-15 feet apart (depending on skill levels/immediate results)
Instructions: -– Each team will station 1 player at each net –
Players will take turns trying to flick or chip the ball into the net opposite them where their partner is positioned.
Before kicking that person must call out how they plan to score or have their partner score, example; if the kicker says “header”, their partner must attempt to score via a header for it to count.
The opposing team must then also attempt to score via header or they will receive the letter “F” – spelling out “Footy” or “Footyball” to extend gametime.
Kicking Order:
Team 1 (decide on who that is) will go first à followed by Team 2 on that same side. Continue this same order on the opposite side as ball goes back and forth until there’s a winner.
Last chance rebuttals :
If a team is shooting to stay alive/avoid receiving their last letter they get 2 attempts to replicate the other team’s goal.
Footy JR (3-5 players)
Instructions:
For this gameplay, there is 1 DESIGNATED KICKER (though that person is interchangeable)
At least 2 players will station themselves around basket and will work together to try to score
(Rotate kicking order as desired)
Score Keeping:
Footy JR is not meant as a team 1 vs team 2 game, earning points is simply about working together to score.
Team Goal – 4 points
Direct shot – 3 points
Headers – 2 points
Feet and body – 1 point
Play under time constraint and see how many points can be earned in that period!
Footy Hacks (2+ player group-play) *based off of aspects of “Hackysack”
Using a single basket/ball only
Instructions:
Players will surround a basket and begin gameplay by tossing the ball up to be juggled, while attempting to keep the ball in the air as long as possible, and to get as many touches on the ball as they can before finally tapping it into the basket in front of them.
Keeping Score:
Players will add up how many touches they accrue each ‘wave’ to see how many they can accumulate over 10 ‘waves. (To extend gameplay just increase the number of waves by 5’s – 10, 15, 20, 25 etc.).
*** 3 total touches (by more than one player) must be made before a basket can count
Footyball Mini (2 player Gameplay) – * a mixture of several of our games
2 baskets are used for this gameplay
Instructions:
Players will each have a basket of their own
Like Footy Taps, they will chip or flick the ball over to the other person and will then run over to assist them in scoring
Keeping Score:
Players will work together to see how many turns it takes to get to 25 points (25 touches) counting them along the way .
Players will compete with themselves to see what the lowest amount of turns it takes them to accumulate those 25 points/touches.
Footy Singles (1 player)
Only one basket is needed for this version
Players will need to place a single basket in front of a flat “backboard” like surface (doors/walls)
Instructions:
Place net 8-12 feet away (change depending on skill/immediate results)
From your desired starting point, players will attempt to kick or chip the ball into the net.
Score keeping:
Direct shots – 3 point
Backboard shots – 2 points
For a challenge:
Time yourself to see how many points you can get in a certain amount of time (1, 5, 10 min)
See how many times you can score in a row
Change the angle/distance from which you are kicking to make it more difficult.
